Shuform, the ultimate multi-fit shoe, is renowned for comfort, flexibility and easy access. Now the range is coated with silver chloride, preventing the formation of adapted bacteria such as MRSA. This coating anchors to the fabric and is resistant to washing, offering long-term protection.
How does it work?
Micro-structured titanium dioxide is the carrier of the active component, silver chloride. Its ions, directly on the textile surface, control bacteria by means of a triple mechanism:
- Blocking oxygen-transporting enzymes
- Making the bacteria’s sulphur-containing proteins inactive
- Locking the cell membrane
Bacteria cannot adapt to these mechanisms and become resistant to silver.
Shuform Slipper - Now coated with advanced silver chloride
The Shuform Slipper has been specifically designed for use following surgery and over a bandaged or swollen foot, but may be used for any condition preventing the use of normal footwear.
It is lightweight with a soft foam interlining for comfort, whilst the large flat rubber sole aids patient mobility. It is machine washable at 40ºC (non tumble dry) with a brushed nylon upper and has adjustable touch-close fastenings for multi-width fittings.
A seperate toe cap is available which can be attached in a variety of positions using the touch-close fastenings to provide extra warmth and protection.
Shuform Shoe - Now coated with advanced silver chloride
The Shuform Shoe has a lightweight design and high toe clearance making it ideally suitable for patients with painful conditions of the foot, whilst providing a firm sole and heel to aid mobility.
It is machine washable at 40ºC (non tumble dry) and the fully adjustable touch-close fastenings allow easy access for entrance and exit of the foot.
The upper is made of bri-nylon laminated to a thick foam which is fully lined for maximum comfort.

Shuform Boot
The Shuform Boot has been specifically designed for orthotic use and has a wide steel shank inserted into the base to allow for the use of additional appliances.
The man-made felt is hard wearing, allows air circulation to the foot, absorbs perspiration and is machine washable at 40ºC (non tumble dry).
The full lining provides increased comfort and, unlike many orthotic boots, the toe stiffener is sandwiched between the lining and the upper. This prevents collapsing and provides longer protection to the toes.
Extension straps are also available where extra capacity is required.
Shuform MediBoot - Now coated with advanced silver chloride
The Shuform Mediboot is a unisex, multi-fit boot that has been specifically designed to permit easy access whilst accommodating a comprehensive range of foot circumfrances.
Circumferential adjustments can be made with the front touch-close fasteners whilst the protective flap, positioned between the rear zip and the patients heel, ensures maximum comfort.
Machine washable at 40ºC (non tumble dry), the Shuform Mediboot is the ultimate multi-fit boot for use in the Orthotic and Appliance Departments and also Nursing Homes.
