The lining is made from durable calfskin with a hardwearing leather shaft top that is softly padded to protect the sensitive foot from pressure sores caused by the edge. The shoes feature a wide instep that is closed by means of laces or velcro straps with deviation eyelets and an extremely solid heel cap which is extremely solid and high to prevent slipping of the foot while a soft toe cap protects the toes.
Secure foothold is provided by the slightly flared, profilated non-slip rubber outsole. A microporo throughsole with its integrated heel wedge supports the medial edge of the foot and acts as a shock absorber. The soft sole retains the foot's natural flexing action during walking.
